Photo of Paul Hajek Clutton CoxPAUL HAJEK, Solicitor, is the Principal of Clutton Cox Solicitors in Chipping Sodbury, near Yate,South Gloucestershire. He has been running the firm since 1985. he has been a Solicitor for 26 years.

Paul was born in Belfast in 1956, to a Croat father and Irish Catholic mother. Paul feels that now as a sole practitioner he has been an oppressed minority virtually all his life.

Sports mad, he was educated at St. Brendan’s College Bristol the top rugby school in the country and spent 6 happy seasons at Bath Rugby Club in the mid seventies to early eighties. When still not quite out to pasture, he joined Yate Athletic Club and enjoyed dipping under 54 seconds for 400 metres in his thirties. Under 54 minutes might be more challenging now!

Ambitions in Life:

To outlive the DFS sale and see Spurs win the Premiership within the Perpetuity Period- a legal term defined in statute as 80 years.

Biggest Disappointment:

Fired by Alan Sugar (as he then was) in Championship Manager 2 after seven successful years as Spurs' manager.

Earliest Memory:

Shutters on my Pram.

Most like to Interview:

Robert Peston, The BBC’s Economic Editor, provided he promised to talk more quickly- and I wouldn’t mention the Credit Crunch once!

Favourite Metaphor:

Without a shadow of a doubt

Favourite Comedian:

Aristophanes: Beat Chaucer in the ribald stakes by about 3000 years, and took political satire to a new level. The father of situation comedy . If you ever thought you lived in cloud cuckoo land, you now know who created the term.

Favourite Urban Myth:

On tour with Bath Rugby Club in Florida 1981, when Gareth Chilcott (“Coochie”) the Bath, England and British Lion Prop was unceremoniously banished and chased out of the Magic Kingdom by Mickey Mouse for manhandling his “mousehood”. In reality, it was only mild finger-wagging by one of the chipmonks Chip or Dale for playfully squeezing his “undercarriage”. It was nevertheless one of the funniest incidents, I have ever witnessed.
